This policy lists the cookies and similar technologies (including browser-storage entries) that StayShare+ actually sets, what each one is for, and how you control them. We keep this list deliberately short — the Platform works with a minimal set.
1. Strictly necessary
These are required for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off:
- Authentication cookies (names beginning
sb-) — keep you signed in securely. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase) and refreshed on each visit. - Consent record — stores the cookie choices you made so we don’t ask again and so analytics stays off if you declined.
2. Functional
stayshare_locale— remembers your language (English, Français, العربية) for one year so the site loads in your language.
3. Analytics (only with your consent)
If — and only if — you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we enable product-analytics (PostHog) and traffic measurement (Vercel Analytics) to understand which features are used and where the product needs improvement. If you decline, these tools are never initialised: no analytics identifiers are set and no events are sent.
4. Marketing and advertising
StayShare+ currently sets no marketing or third-party advertising cookies. The “marketing” toggle in the banner exists so your choice is already recorded if we ever introduce them — we would update this policy first.
5. Managing your choices
- In the app: your choice from the cookie banner is applied immediately and saved. To change it, clear the site’s browser storage (or use your browser’s “clear cookies for this site”) and the banner will reappear on your next visit; signed-in users’ choices are also stored with their account.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent booking.
