Community Standards

Last updated: July 6, 2026v1.0

StayShare+ works because guests and hosts can trust each other. These Community Standards apply to everyone on the Platform, alongside the Terms of Service.

1. Safety first

  • Listings must honestly describe safety-relevant facts: smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors, stairs, pools, pets on the property, and anything a guest should know before booking.
  • No surveillance in private spaces. Cameras are never allowed in bedrooms or bathrooms. Any device in shared spaces must be disclosed on the listing before booking.
  • Never use the Platform to threaten or harm anyone. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then report to us.

2. Respect for every member

Discrimination and harassment have no place here. Hosts and guests must follow our Nondiscrimination Policy — every member deserves equal consideration regardless of who they are, where they come from, or what they believe.

3. Honesty

  • Listings, profiles, and photos must represent the real place and the real person. Bait-and-switch listings are removed.
  • Reviews must reflect genuine stays. Buying, trading, or extorting reviews — or retaliating against honest ones — leads to removal and account action.
  • Impersonating another person or business is prohibited.

4. Keep it on-platform

Book and pay through StayShare+ only. Off-platform payments remove every protection we provide — refunds, support, and secure payment — and are a violation of these standards for both parties. Asking guests to pay outside the Platform is grounds for listing removal.

5. Enforcement

Violations are handled proportionally: warnings, content removal, listing suspension, or permanent account removal for serious or repeated violations (safety threats, discrimination, fraud). Report any concern via the Help Center or the report button on listings and profiles — reports are reviewed by our trust team, and reporting in good faith will never be held against you.
